We can ship REGEN + worldwide.

Unique component intended for:

regeneration of injured horse tendons as REGEN-TENDON
regeneration of damaged articular cartilage as REGEN-CARTILAGE
regeneration of damaged eye corneal cells as REGEN-CORNEA

INDICATIONS
It is mainly used in horses in a case of tendon injury, joint degeneration and eye corneal damage.
But it can also be used in small animals (dogs, cats).

CLINICAL DATA of REGEN-TENDON

1. REGEN-TENDON is considered as safe with no side reaction observed after application. It has been tested on 10 horses as a local intra tendon, peri-tendon, intra-articular injections.

2. REGEN-TENDON has been used in more than 30 clinical cases of superficial digital flexor tendon (SDFT) injuries. The best results have been achieved when 3 – 5 days after SDFT injury REGEN-TENDON combined with NSAID and cold therapy has been used. Rehabilitation program has been applied afterwards.

3. Applications of REGEN-TENDON have also improved healing of deep digital flex or tendon (DDFT) injuries, chronic tendonitis and suspensory ligament desmitis in sport and endurance horses.

Rehabilitation program should be applied including walking and swimming program for the following 3 months (12 weeks), slowly introducing horse into work with close USG monitoring.

4. TENDON PROPHYLAXIS – prevention of injury
Peri-tendon injection of REGEN-TENDON should be applied one day after sport event (such as race, endurance) in order to prevent incoming tendon injury / rupture. Even if there is no clinical signs of injury, REGEN-TENDON helps recovering from all micro-injuries observed with UTC.

* LEGEND: Ultrasound tissue characterisation (UTC)

4 types of ultrasound echoes – color coded – are very specific to tendon tissue, representing the integrity of tendon matrix.

  • Green: (type I echo) is normal, well-aligned and organized tendon bundles. At least 85–90% of this type of echo should be located in a healthy tendon.
  • Blue: (type II echo) there are areas of wavy or swollen tendon bundles. They represent tendon remodeling and adaptation or lower-order repair.
  • Red: (type III echo) it denotes fibrous tissue (the basic building block of a tendon). It may indicate a partial tear of the tendon, which reflects breakdown of the normal structure. It may also indicate initial healing of the tendon.
  • Black: (type IV echo) it denontes areas of cells or fluid. These are spinal changes of the tendon where there is no normal tendon tissue.

REGEN-TENDON can be used in horse tendons injury up to 30% as the standard treatment.
There were also extreme cases of tendon injuries reaches up to 70% with successful results.

After application of REGEN-TENDON it takes 3 – 6 months to heal depending on the severity of the injury, whereas standard healing process takes 7 – 9 months. Always remember to implement a rehabilitation program.

After intra-articular injection REGEN+ in combination with hyaluronic acid (1 – 2%) acquires the following features:

  • anti-inflammatory,
  • moisturizing,
  • supplementing synovial fluid,
  • accelerates regeneration of damaged articular cartilage
